History of Chy an Albany Hotel, St Ives, Cornwall

our past is our presents . . .
Originally three Edwardian houses built for local sea captains with the Hain Shipping Company, Chy-an-Albany was converted to a hotel in the 1920's but spent a short time as a school for evacuees during WWII. The hotel has been tastefully refurbished retaining much of the charm of the original building. The hotel occupies a wonderfully elevated site overlooking St. Ives Bay.
